Emissions offsetting in the building sector is here to stay.
Construction, renovation, real estate and development companies will be able to offset their own carbon footprint from October.
The ITeC – Institute of Building Technology is strengthening its commitment to environmental sustainability, for this purpose it has closed an agreement with Climatetrade, a leading company for emissions offsetting in international carbon markets, to integrate ClimatetradeGO in its website.
This joint development provides professionals and construction companies, developers and SOCIMIs with an advanced digital service to offset their CO2 emissions calculated by ITEC software.
The agreement represents a digital solution that provides maximum rigour and traceability in transactions and certifications. A great leap in quality in the digitalisation of the sector and greater transparency in terms of environmental, social and governance responsibility for companies, to the benefit of their stakeholders.
Companies and professionals can now get information and training on the subject
With the aim of promoting emissions offsetting in the sector, ITec will provide professionals and companies with access to this innovative digital tool through webinars and online courses.
With this technology and, most importantly, a solid commitment to the environment, the construction sector will have total transparency, greater collaboration and joint investment in their entire sustainability strategy.
First Webinar will take place 1 October 2020: https://register.gotowebinar.com/register/8371377377854905615
“Aligned with the European Green Deal we are promoting sustainable and digital construction”,
This agreement is in line with the position announced by the European Commission (EC) to boost the environmental recovery and transition plan, which aims to be green, digital and fair.
To this end, public funds have become available, in order to support companies in achieving these objectives.
